In August 2024, Bastrop County Commissioner's Court order an election to enable the voters of Bastrop County to approve or deny the formation of the Bastrop County ESD #3.    The election was held on November 5, 2024.    Voters approved the formation of the District and established a maximum tax rate of 10 cents per $100 of valuation.    On December 23, 2024, Commissioner's Court approved the order forming the District and appointed the five member board.   The following image is taked from the official minutes of the meeting.
